The 6″ x 9″ powder coated solid steel base is supported by four rubber bumpers that won’t slide around. It also is sturdy enough for over 4 pounds. The 4 flexible metal arms come in two lengths (2 each 16″ arms and 2 each 8″ arms) with heavy duty stainless steel alligator clamps. Each clamp can be rotated 360 degrees and then locked into place with the knurled thumb nut.
